“Not everything I paint has to be a masterpiece.” That was my mantra that got me to start working again after a very long break. Its easier said than accepted. I spent a very long time working on quite a few pieces today. These are the only two I’m satisfied with. Tomorrow is another day.
Abstraction of a Cat’s Eyes. Watercolor and ink on paper. 9.5″x3″.
Unframed: $28.00
Harsh Light on Cat. Watercolor and ink on paper. 8″x9.5″.

Hey Jen – I like the bold clean colours in the abstraction. A nice bright piece. We are sometimes so self-critical. When I paint on-site I tell myself that the fact that I am there painting is much more important than what the picture looks like when I am finished. And that has helped me relax (and I have created some real messes). But I have also seen things I never saw before.
I like your watercolours. Good luck with the endeavour.
