Cat on my Stuff

It has been a long time since I took the time to paint my loved kitty, Samara. Observing her sitting on an unsorted pile of  junk mail inspired me to paint these two watercolor sketches. After all, it was a really good excuse for putting off sorting those bills and advertisements just a bit longer.

I’m Ok with This. Watercolor and ink on illustration board. 2.5″x3.5″ (6.4cmx8.9cm).

Unframed: $20.00

Cat on My Stuff. Watercolor and ink on illustration board. 2.5″x3.5″ (6.4cmx8.9cm).

The Game Ladies of Summer 2011

The Etsy Game of the Month club is still going strong. Below are my July and August ACEO entries. July’s game was Odin Sphere and it features the beautiful Gwendolyn. August’s game was The Legend of Zelda. My Zelda painting features the playful Midna and Navi.

Might and Magic Heroes VI

I’m in an art contest. Please, if you get the chance, click here to log into Facebook and vote for my watercolor painting. The Might and Magic series includes some of my favorite games of all time. It makes me happy that the franchise is still going strong.

A Naga’s Best Friend. Ink, watercolor, and paper. 2.5″x3.5″ (6.4cmx8.9cm).

Buffering

Here is a small ACEO I painted in about fifteen minutes. It is a small sketch of a tiny corner in Philadelphia.

I’ve made a resolution to visit Philly once a week this summer. Expect more urban sketches.

City Sketch. Ink and watercolor on matte board. 2.5″x3.5″ (6.4cmx8.9cm).

Unframed: $15.00

First Person Shooter

The Etsy Gamers’ game of the month this May is Bioshock. They seem to be on a first person shooter kick, which is OK by me. The following ACEO is of a Little Sister and  Big Daddy. It is hard not to think of the under water city Rapture as a horrific steam punk version of Oz. I had fun playing with the art deco arches of the game.  This Big Daddy’s name is Toto.

Not in Kansas Anymore. Ink, watercolor, and paper. 2.5″x3.5″ (6.4cmx8.9cm).

SOLD

Prints Available.

Dead Space

The Etsy Gamers’ game of the month this April is Dead Space. I painted the following ACEO as my entry to the contest.

Lurking Lurker. Ink, watercolor, and paper. 2.5″x3.5″ (6.4cmx8.9cm).

Unframed: $15.00

Video Game Art for Etsy

I am a part of the Etsy Gamers Team. We are a group of people who enjoy Etsy and gaming. Every month we each create an item inspired by one of our favorite video games. The game of the month is chosen by the winner of last month’s challenge. You may remember the ACEO I painted for January’s game, The Path.

February’s game was Left 4 Dead, a personal favorite of mine. This witch was my submission.

March’s game of the month is Katamari Damacy.  Below is my illustration of the Katamari Prince dancing his little heart out.

Both of these original works have sold. Prints of the Prince and Witch can be found in my Etsy shop.

Let’s Start the New Year with Some Good Advice

Don’t talk to strangers.

Every once and a while my love of fairy tales manifests itself in an ACEO like the one below. This small watercolor and ink painting is half inspired by the classic fairy tale and half inspired by The Path.  Little Red Riding Hood was not supposed to talk to strangers. She is pictured below telling The Big Bad Wolf just that.

Not Supposed To. Watercolor and ink on paper. 2.5″x3.5″ (6.4cmx8.9cm).

Unframed: $20.00

Just a reminder, an ACEO is a collectible work of art the size of a playing card.  ACEO is an acronym for Art Cards Editions and Originals.
