The truth is I’m more active on Tumblr than WordPress. It’s not that I like the format more, but I do appreciate the instant gratification the note system gives. That said, a Twitter friend reminded me I should keep this page active. So, here is a painting of a red panda I made at the Philadelphia Zoo.

The Drawing of the Three

On October first, my husband and I threw a huge party celebrating our recent marriage. My sister Maria, my sister Brianna, and I got our hair done together. As the three of us are artists, we each drew a sketch while waiting for our turn in the seat. This is one of the very few blog posts that will include drawings I did not make. I am the oldest of the three. Maria is five years younger than I am. Brianna is ten years younger than Maria.

These drawings are dear to me and are not for sale.
Nothing Serious

Like most creative people, sometimes I struggle with artist’s block. Group assignments are a great way to fight this not so serious ailment. The following works took no longer than forty five minutes to create. They are in response to specific themes assigned daily by Reddit’s Sketch Daily Club.
Painting of my favorite word: Sparrow
Drawing of my favorite villain: Samara
They aren’t masterpieces, just fun little exercises. Sometimes, it’s nice to make art without serious intentions.
