Stained Glass Style

I’ve been playing with bold lines lately. I don’t consider either of these paintings complete, but I enjoy the direction they are taking me.

Cous Cous

Last week I had the honor of being invited to a belly dancer photo shoot at Cous Cous in Cherry Hill. As some of you may know, Cous Cous may be my favorite restaurant. Belly dancing is my favorite dancing. I had a ball.

Real Life Fairies

Fairy tales have always held a special place in my heart. This week’s Dr. Sketchy’s pixie themed event was truly inspiring. Below are some of my more successful works from the night.

To whom it may concern, I’ve started a Tumblr.

A Few Things to Mention

I’ve started a tumblr. If you’ve seen all my blog posts, my tumblr will not offer you anything new. Mainly, I am posting paintings that I feel are worth revisiting. In blog format, a lot of my work gets buried. I understand my tumblr will eventually face the same problem. But for now, consider it a highlight reel for pieces that I am particularly fond of.

Also, I still participate in The Etsy Gamer’s Game of the Month. Prints and originals of my Game of the Month entries are available in my Etsy shop. Below are my entries for Little Big Planet and Minecraft.

Cupcakes are the New Bacon

Every once and a while a certain food becomes in style. It is odd that foods trend. A cupcake eaten in 2002 tastes no better than a cupcake tasted today. Nevertheless, cupcakes are in vogue. So cheers to cupcakes! Bacon had the spotlight for way too long.

Alley Art: Discovering Wabi-Sabi

The Great Bay Art Gallery’s summer show is opening this evening. The reception is 5-8pm. I’m honored to be one of the twenty something artists and poets participating in the invitation only exhibition. Each artist or poet was assigned one of Somers Point’s allies. We each created art or poetry about the alley. Our focus was to find beauty in decay. The alley I was assigned was Miller Lane, the closest alley to the gallery. Here are the watercolor paintings I created on site this summer:

Green Bins. Watercolor and Ink on Paper. 5″ x 5″

$200.00

Purple Bins. Watercolor and Ink on Paper. 5″ x 5″.

$200.00

Sun Kissed. Watercolor and Ink on Paper. 5″ x 7″

$275.00

And my least “Wabi-Sabi” of the four:

A Glance Down Miller Lane. Watercolor and Ink on Paper. 5″ x 7″.
