Ouch

I’ve hurt my foot. As my bed is where I have been spending most of my time, the view from my bed has been my recent subject matter. Let’s hope I heal quickly, or drawings of my feet will consume my blog.

Atlantic City Race Course

I’ve lived in Atlantic County, New Jersey for a little over two years now. There are many historic gems in this part of the state. This morning I painted the Atlantic City Race Course. Honestly, I don’t know much about the building. It just struck me as a place that had some stuff happen in it.

Enjoy.

May Your Days be Merry and Bright

Twice a month at the Hammonton Arts Center, the Painter’s Atelier meets. The Painter’s Atelier is a group of painters interested in learning from one another. Each meeting has a theme. Today’s theme was “snow.”  Below is my wintry, watercolor still life including a snow globe. It is fascinating to see the variety of work 5 different artists can create using a single word.

Constructive Drawing

After a week long break, I have returned to my bicycle landscape drawings. The drawing below is of a construction site on the border of Absecon and Oceanville. The vehicle is a Bobcat and I believe the house is being built by Community Construction.

This summer, I will be teaching classes at the the Noyes Museum of Art and the Hammonton Art Center. For class schedules, details, and pricing, click here. I am also hard at work helping the Mill Street Art Center get up and running.

Coyotes Mate for Life

This Sunday is Valentine’s Day. In celebration of the holiday of love and affection, I’m doing something a little different. I’m not buying flowers or chocolates. This weekend I am posting drawings of animals that mate for life.

Coyotes do not celebrate Valentines Day, but they are monogamous and show signs of affection for one another.  Today’s post is for all those canine couples out there. Enjoy your weekend.
