Cat People

I am a cat person. You wouldn’t guess it from all the dogs I’ve watercolored recently. So, this weekend I painted a pretty kitty named Ginger. She’s so fluffy!

Commissioned Cait Sith

This watercolor and ink painting was a commission. Before you get all fan boy at me, this is a FFXI Cait Sith, not a FFVII Cait Sith. Bring it.

Original painting has sold, click here to view the prints available in my Etsy shop.

Bad Lion

This watercolor lion was supposed to be a baby shower gift. The nursery is safari themed. However, I think he came out more mean than cuddly. Guess I’ll have to paint another safari animal tomorrow (one with less teeth).

Cat on my Stuff

It has been a long time since I took the time to paint my loved kitty, Samara. Observing her sitting on an unsorted pile of  junk mail inspired me to paint these two watercolor sketches. After all, it was a really good excuse for putting off sorting those bills and advertisements just a bit longer.

I’m Ok with This. Watercolor and ink on illustration board. 2.5″x3.5″ (6.4cmx8.9cm).

Unframed: $20.00

Battle Bot

Nothing to see here, just me and my giant Ham-bot.

When it rains, it pours. Not only do I have two separate gallery openings this Friday night, but today my work was featured in Shop Art Direct and Glamour Shoes. Look at me go!

Sketchbook Caturday!

Here is a page of quick cat studies from my sketchbook. Ink on paper.

Green Acrylic

I knew within the five minutes of painting this that it would eventually get painted over. It’ll add some nice texture to a future acrylic painting. So, heres a quick, thalo green study of my cat. Maybe I’ll finish it. I don’t know. We’ll see how I feel tomorrow.

More Kitties, Kinda

“Not everything I paint has to be a masterpiece.”  That was my mantra that got me to start working again after a very long break. Its easier said than accepted. I spent a very long time working on quite a few pieces today. These are the only two I’m satisfied with. Tomorrow is another day.
