Painted this depiction of Rydia from Final Fantasy IV as a commission. She is highly influenced by Amano’s original character design. Prints are available in my Etsy shop.
Also, prints of many of my gaming themed paintings (including Rydia of Myst) are now available at Level Up Entertainment in the Hamilton Mall.

Last night, I attended my last college party ever. One of my closest friends just graduated. This marks the end of an era. To commemorate the occasion, I painted a picture of the table on which I’ve played countless games of Kings, War, Bull, Clever Endeavor, the Drawing Game, and other drinking favorites.
It was a fun time, but, you know what? I’m happy to end that chapter of my life. I was never very good at beer pong.
Last College Party. Watercolor and Ink on Paper. 9″ x 12″.

I’m in an art contest. Please, if you get the chance, click here to log into Facebook and vote for my watercolor painting. The Might and Magic series includes some of my favorite games of all time. It makes me happy that the franchise is still going strong.

The Etsy Gamers’ game of the month this May is Bioshock. They seem to be on a first person shooter kick, which is OK by me. The following ACEO is of a Little Sister and Big Daddy. It is hard not to think of the under water city Rapture as a horrific steam punk version of Oz. I had fun playing with the art deco arches of the game. This Big Daddy’s name is Toto.
Not in Kansas Anymore. Ink, watercolor, and paper. 2.5″x3.5″ (6.4cmx8.9cm).

This weekend, Chris Reyes, Tom Enright, Kevin Tracy, John O’Malley, Mike Pepplar, and I made a video game for Game Jam 6. Our time limit was 48 hours. Given the time constraint, I’m very happy with our results. You play as Zap, an electric spark whose sole goal in life is to successfully travel from a power cord to a toaster enabling toast to be created and freed from its toaster prison.
Below are a few of the backgrounds I painted for the game.
Here is a sheet of some of our characters.

I am a part of the Etsy Gamers Team. We are a group of people who enjoy Etsy and gaming. Every month we each create an item inspired by one of our favorite video games. The game of the month is chosen by the winner of last month’s challenge. You may remember the ACEO I painted for January’s game, The Path.
February’s game was Left 4 Dead, a personal favorite of mine. This witch was my submission.
March’s game of the month is Katamari Damacy. Below is my illustration of the Katamari Prince dancing his little heart out.
Both of these original works have sold. Prints of the Prince and Witch can be found in my Etsy shop.
