Cupcakes are the New Bacon

Every once and a while a certain food becomes in style. It is odd that foods trend. A cupcake eaten in 2002 tastes no better than a cupcake tasted today. Nevertheless, cupcakes are in vogue. So cheers to cupcakes! Bacon had the spotlight for way too long.

Drink Up!

As many of you know, I am an active member of Reddit. Every few months I participate in the Reddit Gift Exchanges. I’ve made it a habit to paint original watercolors for my random match ups. My most recent giftee is an avid home brewer and fan of craft beer. So I painted him this.

Cheers!

Art in the Park

Ventnor, NJ’s art community is growing fast. This evening, I went to the season’s first Art in the Park event. Hopefully I will attend many more.

Always Sunny

When I’m in the suburbs, I paint tall buildings. When I’m in the city, I paint park scenes. I don’t get it either.

Below is another painting of Rittenhouse Square. Philadelphia in late summer makes me smile.

Rittenhouse Square

Spring time in Philadelphia is quite an inspiring sight. This watercolor plein air painting of Rittenhouse Square accurately depicts the mood, if not the crowds, of Philly on a breezy May afternoon.

Secret Supermarket

Behind my laundry mat, there is a supermarket. The food is fresh and well priced. I would not know about this food market if it was not for my need to go on walks as my clothes dry. The store is called “Gokul: Indian Supermarket.” It is a beautiful building.
