Across the Street

Asbury Avenue in Ocean City NJ has an out door painting competition every Wednesday of the summer.  This past Wednesday I won second place with this painting. The painting was a particular challenge as I chose to sit across the street from the buildings I painted. Large vehicles kept parking in front of my subject matter. I learned a valuable lesson about vantage point.

Snowed In

This week, I have no excuse not to participate in Sketchbook Saturday. The snow has trapped me in my home.

Here is a drawing of an old sneaker overlapping the box for Left 4 Dead 2. It is drawn with ball point pen on Stonehenge paper in my lovely Parkside Harmony sketchbook.

Sand It All Down

This large oil painting was just sanded down and will be shortly painted over. I should have photographed it pre sanding, but I didn’t.

The only part I’ll really miss is the belly.

Soon this painting will become something so much better than it was.

Oldest Watercolor

This is a very poor image of the oldest watercolor I can remember doing. I don’t know where the original painting went, so it’ll have to do. I probobly painted it 2002-ish.
