Painted Rain Barrel

The Hammton Art Center is hosting a huge painted rain barrel fund raiser. Below is the barrel I designed, painted, and donated. The bidding for the rain barrels begins shortly and ends on Septmber 18th. I’ll link the auction once it is up.

My Preening Peafowl barrel is losely based on these drawings I made earlier in the year.

Once again,I am working with the  Haddon Township Beautification Comity. Last fall, in their SOHA district, I painted Pauline. This spring, I will begin working on another large potter’s plant mural. The painting will be of a peacock and a peahen. While I have no concrete design yet, here are some peafowl studies I’ve done in preparation. Thursday, I head to town to pick the perfect pot for my peafowl pair.

Western North Carolina Nature Center

I spent the past few days in the beautiful mountains  of North Carolina. During my stay, I went to visit the Western North Carolina Nature Center.   Along the outer edges of the map provided I drew all the animals I saw (except the bobcat, which is odd as I love felines). Below is their map and my sketches.
