Last night, I showed at the annual Reflections fashion event at the Starlight Ballroom in Philadelphia. Watching masses of people look at my work is a nerve wrackingly voyeuristic experience. Especially when the music is too loud to eavesdrop. To ease my mind, I painted.

Of In. Watercolor and ink on cotton paper. 6″ x 5.5″ (15.2cm x 14cm).
Unframed: $175.00
Many skilled, visual artists were showing with me. Please take moment to check out the work of Cherry Buttons, Mizz Mechanique, and Linda Guenste.

The main focus of the evening was fashion. The air was thick with beauty, music, sex, and clove cigarettes.

Not So Human Beings. Ink on paper. 6″ x 5.5″ (15.2cm x 14cm).

This month’s Dr. Sketchy’s Philly session was exceptionally fun. The model, D’Arcy D’Lux, really knew how to put on a show.

This Friday night is the opening reception to the Hammonton Art Center‘s Twelfth Annual Juried Show. The pieces I have in the show are “April to April”, “Martha”, and “Samara in a Drawer #2”. My sister, Maria, also has art in the show. Her piece is “Fuzzy Fox” in pastels.
The drawing below is of a sculpture included in Friday’s exhibition. Once I saw it, I had to draw it. It is a large, bronze owl sculpted by the talented David Caccia. The work is titled “Barn Owl.”
