Star Wars Themed Dr. Sketchy’s

I haven’t updated in over a month, which is some sort of awful record. I won’t give excuses. Sometimes life just gets in the way of art.

Last Friday was May the 4th Be With You. There was a Star War’s themed Dr. Sketchy’s at Smithville’s The Underground. Our stellar models were Roxanne Mass and Sam East (aka Samantha Star).  Unfortunately, a glass of water was spilled, ruining some of my better pieces from the night. Here are some of the surviving paintings:

Rooms of The Drawing Room

The Drawing Room (the drawing club I’m a part of) spent a few weeks focusing on perspective drawing.   The following two drawings weren’t so fun for me to make, but perspective is important to brush up on every once and a while. I’m told musicians, no matter how skilled, should practice basic scales when possible. Consider these spacial drawings my scales.

My current studio space is in my Uncle’s attic. He’s the absolute greatest for letting me use it.
