My Patreon

lawrence

I started a Patreon. Patreon is a way to pay artists to live a lifestyle that enables creating. Most people endeavor to support the arts, but not everyone can afford original paintings. This service allows anyone to offer individual artists like myself financial support for as little as a dollar a month. If you like my paintings, please consider contributing to my account.

For just a dollar a month, I will paint a small watercolor portrait of you. Here are the portraits I have made so far.

Riverfest

I spent the day painting at the annual Cumberland County Plein Air Riverfest event hosted by Gallery 50 in Bridgeton, NJ. I painted two pieces on site. Each took about three hours. Both works are watercolor and feature the beautiful Cohansey River. Both works are available for purchase at Gallery 50 until September 27th.

Long Time No Post

The truth is I’m more active on Tumblr than WordPress. It’s not that I like the format more, but I do appreciate the instant gratification the note system gives. That said, a Twitter friend reminded me I should keep this page active. So, here is a painting of a red panda I made at the Philadelphia Zoo.

Dr. Sketchy’s at the Comic Crypt Cafe

Highlights of sketches from yesterday’s super hero themed Dr. Sketchy’s hosted by the Comic Crypt Cafe in Asbury Park. There was a Tank Girl, Wonder Woman, Psylocke, and Cat Woman. The Cat Woman costume was probably the best I’ve ever seen in real life.

Playing Catch Up

I’ve been in the wonderful habit of painting more than posting. Here’s a watercolor from a few weeks ago. My reference can be found in this /r/redditgetsdrawn thread.

Cat People

I am a cat person. You wouldn’t guess it from all the dogs I’ve watercolored recently. So, this weekend I painted a pretty kitty named Ginger. She’s so fluffy!

2014

I’ve been painting a lot this year.

Here’s a friend’s baby. She was born December 31st, 2012. She has my grandmother’s name.
